Progress…not perfection.

Getting started or starting over (whatever your bridge may be) isn’t easy. It’s good and it’s healthy, but it’s definitely a challenge. Been there, done that A LOT, and even with a plan, there would be days I wanted to quit. Turn around and go back to doing whatever I was doing before.

Bottom line, we all need a strategy to beat the defeat! Frustration and disappointment are a given with any new challenge, but there IS a way around it!

Know the WHY

Have a PLAN

Protect your TIME

Celebrate small WINS

Extend GRACE (both to yourself and others)

That’s a lot to unpack every single day, which is exactly why people avoid change! But if we put in place a strategy that focuses on the progress…not perfection, then every day could be a day to celebrate a win. Ex. If you get one thing done today that is in line with your plan. Any small task towards your calling/destination/dream, that’s PROGRESS! You are doing it! Going for it! Living out what you believe! Celebrate. I mean it. Celebrate!

Completing a task (aka: Finished. The end. Done.) gives you the same good feeling inside as completing the full mission. Why wait to congratulate yourself?? Right now, in the moment, is the time to enjoy your journey. Don’t wait to celebrate!

Frustration and disapointment have no power to stop you if the goal is progress….not perfection.
